Dr. Helper graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 (Fellowship in Interventional Spine Pain Management). He then spent the next 11 years at the False Creek Healthcare Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2018, Dr. Helper joined the Kinetix Medicine team in Kitsilano, Vancouver, British Columbia.
Kinetix Medicine is a Multidisciplinary Clinic committed to providing integrated healthcare for patients experiencing orthopaedic and musculoskeletal pain with a focus on interventional (classic spine and joint injection procedures) and regenerative medicine (platelet-rich plasma).
The medical team at Kinetix Medicine has grown significantly since 2018. Dr. Helper works with a team of colleagues with backgrounds in Interventional Radiology, Anaesthesiology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Pain Medicine, and Sports Medicine. This team environment allows the physicians at Kinetix Medicine to share thoughts surrounding current patient care and the future of interventional pain medicine. This opens up opportunities for education and collaboration.
To undergo an assessment with Dr. Helper or one of his colleagues at Kinetix Medicine, you will need a referral from your general practitioner or guiding specialist physician. Assessments take place under the BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) at Kinetix. Interventional procedures may be covered by MSP or may be subject to private pay, as appropriate.
